This is a chance to work together and map out your goals for the upcoming year and to identify everyone’s role in being successful. Michael can also be hired as a consultant to develop and facilitate your retreat.

The Academics of Alcohol
Missing classes, academic probation, and dismissal are all effects of alcohol use and abuse for college students. You  spend your hard earned money to pay for tuition, but doing poorly is not a great investment of your money if you are making poor decisions with alcohol.  If not careful, alcohol can impact your college career that can damage your future career.  Being an academic adviser for over 15 years, we will discuss the ramification of alcohol and how it may impact you.

Growing up Jewish Jamaican
Even though a drunk driver killed his mother when he was an infant, Michael did have an incredible mother figure in his life.  Sometimes when tragedy strikes, there is a silver lining and that came in the shape of a Jamaican woman who stepped in and rose Michael and his brother as her own.  As if she was sent by their own mother as their guardian angel, Dolly raised two white Jewish children as her own flesh and blood.  This diversity program is about how Michael was raised in both a white Jewish family and a black Jamaican family.  To him it was a normal way of life, but to others, it was different.  His incredible sense of humor got him through the tough times when exposed to discrimination and racism.  Dolly taught him to be the person he is and this program is a tribute to her and shows the real meaning of unconditional love.
