After leaving the program I promised myself that I would never drink and drive. I have driven with my friends before who have had some alcohol, but after hearing your story, I realized that my life or my friend's life isn't worth a couple of drinks. I will not let my friends drink and drive again. Kristen

Being a Resident Assistant, I always try to find programs that will not only educate students, but make an impact far beyond what they learn in school. Your program does just that. It is a heartbreaking reality that can so easily be avoided and yet it still such a huge problem. While still able to entertain, you drove home the reality and seriousness of drinking and driving. You incorporated a realistic approach to the presentation and reached the students on their level. Angela, RA Metcalf Hall

The overall presentation was informative, eye-opening and touching due to the personal touch. There was a great deal of humor which made the personal not as intense. This was more inviting for the audience to be able to participate as we did and share your life story. Thank you. Andrea, Lake Erie College

The Magic of Life was primarily about realizing that life is wonderful and we can too often throw it away complaining or wasting our time (and money) on things like alcohol. The message about alcohol was quite strong. These things have truly made me think about my position on alcohol. The moment of pleasure, or thrill it brings from drinking and driving or just being silly, it is not worth in the long run. Besides, beer and liquor is an expensive habit! The night was fun, yet it had deep messages as well. I would gladly recommend it. Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. Jessie, Kent State University

The speaker we heard on driving drunk was great. His words stuck out in your head. He was very brave to speak to a group of strangers about his life, especially something so personal. That was tragic what happened to him and his mother. Nevertheless, I am happy he was able to overcome. He had such enthusiasm and that always helps keep people awake and attentive. Scherrie, Lake Erie College

I liked the presentation a lot. I thought the humor at the beginning was really funny. The jokes that were used were perfect for our age class. I also like how he tied in more serious issues with comedy. Overall, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the presentation. I went in thinking it would be boring and stupid, but I left with a smile on my face. Loni, Lake Erie College
